I am a certified DONA doula and Lamaze childbirth educator providing doula services and private and group childbirth classes in Orlando, Lake Mary, Altamonte Springs, Sanford, Deltona, Oviedo, Maitland and beyond.

I have worked in pregnancy, birth, and breastfeeding since 2004 when I started working in marketing for Lamaze International in Washington DC. In 2010, I became manager of the Lamaze parents’ blog, Giving Birth with Confidence. I began  work as a doula and childbirth educator work in 2012. I earned my Lamaze Certified Childbirth Educator (LCCE) in 2014 and my Certified DONA Doula (CD(DONA)) certification in 2015. I trained as a doula at the renowned Simkin Center for Allied Birth Vocations in Seattle, WA, and through Passion for Birth for Lamaze education.

After many years of writing and researching birth, I wanted to be directly involved in providing support to families through this amazing — and challenging — process. I believe that people deserve to be respected, informed, and supported during the pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and parenthood.

As a childbirth educator and doula, I believe in providing parents with comprehensive, respectful, evidence-based information so they can make informed decisions and choices that work best for their family.

My personal experience with birth includes three awesome children. Each of my births was different and brought with it a new perspective on the process. Like many people, there were moments I treasured and things I wish could have been different. With each one, however, I recognized the true value of good childbirth education and support from a doula. I am honored to be able to fullfil that role for birthing families.
